About

A little more about me

I’ve spent many years working across software, systems, data, and practical problem solving, but the things that shape me go well beyond work alone.

Chris Domville

My professional background is rooted in technology, software development, and helping make sense of complicated systems and ideas. Over the years I’ve worked on a wide range of problems, and that experience has given me not just technical skills, but perspective, patience, and a practical way of thinking.

These days, I’m less interested in simply describing myself as a developer and more interested in the wider value I can bring — clear thinking, useful support, honest conversations, and the ability to help people move forward when things feel unclear or overly complex.

Family, friendships, and life outside work have played a big part in shaping who I am. One of the strongest examples of that was supporting my son through more than ten years of competitive swimming, including the dedication, discipline, and early mornings that came with it. Experiences like that stay with you. They influence your character, your resilience, and the way you show up for people.

I value straightforwardness, curiosity, loyalty, and being genuinely useful. This site is a simple place to share more about who I am, what I care about, and the kind of conversations and opportunities I’m open to.

Experience

Years of hands-on work across software, systems, and real-world problem solving have shaped the way I think and work.

Perspective

My interests, family life, and personal experiences matter just as much to me as my professional background.

Practicality

I prefer useful ideas, honest thinking, and approaches that help people make real progress.
